The Story When Jesus Was Born by Emma Bacak

When Jesus first, there was someone named Mary. She had an angel told her she's gonna have a little baby named Jesus. So the angel told that back to her husband. Then her husband put Mary on a donkey! And then, the husband...he just walked. And then, they went and went to the place called BETHLEHEM! And when they went to Bethlehem, there's a lot, a lot of people. Mary been gotting tired. So they went to the hotel, best there's NO ROOM. Best then, a man told them there's a stable where they can be there. And then when Mary was at the stable resting on the hay, she had Jesus in her tummy! And then Jesus came out! And when Jesus came out, all the animals looked at it. There was lots and lots of people coming. But then an angel told some shepherdsmen to come there and see Jesus! And when they did, he's been so born and tiny. Best then he growed up into a kid, a couple of few days...best then he grew up bigger, and bigger, and bigger, and bigger... then he stopped. Then he was God's Son.
The End

(Well, this story been true. It's been true, true, true. Please tell everyone this story. Bye-Bye.)

Ethan & Eliana July 2006

Livin' the Dream!

Ethan has a new phrase he picked up (from my brothers, of course).
He walked through the living room the other day while i was excercising to a work out video and yelled out to me..."livin' the dream!"
i'm not sure what he meant exactly? (i typically don't think of having to excercise as my dream come true?)
maybe he thought the girls in the video were pretty?
who knows?
but if you hang around ethan long enough, you'll probably here his new mantra.
he uses it often and he has decent timing for a 4 yr. old.

and when he is playing drums in the garage he introduces himself and yells out "its the ethan seay band!!"
he needs a few more bandmates. elle is more of a dancer. in fact, elle doesn't walk anywhere. she struts and bounces wherever she goes. she walks into a room like she owns it! and the instant you turn music on, her booty starts shaking and her arms are pumping. even in her carseat. she is hilarious at this age. her personality is as big as her hair!

ethan's latest excuse for not wanting to go potty before naptime or bedtime is "i went potty yesterday...you 'member?"
i'm pretty sure its healthy to go at least twice every day.

are any of you "livin' the dream?"

A DECADE OF DIAPERS

After almost a decade of diapers and wipes we are now officially free of purchasing, changing, and purchasing more diapers. Nathaniel got off the diapers a few months ago but being the cautious people we are, we kept him in diapers during the night. This past Monday we let him go free at night and have had no issues. SO, after thousands of diapers and endless boxes of wipes - we are done! It does not take much to get us excited these days.

The Funny Things those Bacak kids say!

EMMA
Today, Emma and Jax watched their favorite show, The Magic School Bus, which was about gravity. (The coolest educational show!) Anyway, afterward, Emma was wearing a costume, and skating on our rug, playing some form of hockey. She fell down, and looked up at me and say "Um Mom. Gravity." with a very displeased look. She's not so big on gravity. She'd much rather live in space. She's been trying to defy gravity, but it continues to win out.
At least my boys are just giving in to gravity. There would be stitches involved for sure if they didn't!

JAX
Some of my favorite phrases of Jax's lately are "You're going down." "Shake it down." He throws in "MAYDAY, MAYDAY!" into his play. "Mom, are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
He passionately wants a bow and arrow, and I'm very afraid to know what all a 4 yr. old boy would do with one!

JUSTUS
Turns out, Justus is a Hanson fan. Yep. His new phrase is "Mmm, Bop." He says it all the time, even in a melodic tone. Rusty is devastated.
Right now as I type, he's trying to fit himself into the cabinets in my living room, and shut the cabinet door on himself (unsuccessfully) and when I looked at him, he put his finger to his mouth and said "Shhh." I think he's "hiding."

Never a dull moment!
